Charles McDonald - Senior Partner

Charles qualified as a solicitor in 1978 and became a Partner in the firm in 1980. On 1^st May 2004 he became the firm’s Senior Partner.

His experience lies in a number of areas. He particularly specialises in agricultural and planning work and also has great knowledge of capital taxes relating in particular to probate, trusts and tax planning.

Charles also deals with residential and commercial conveyancing.

Mark Dewey - Partner

Mark is the head of our Commercial Property department. He qualified as a solicitor in 1985 and became a Partner in the firm in 1988. He is also our Partner in charge of Personnel.

Mark can provide the full range of commercial and business conveyancing services, ranging from drafting of leases and tenancies to dealing with the purchases of offices, shops and businesses. 

Outside of work, Mark has a keen interest in all sports, especially football and badminton.

Deborah Farrant - Trainee Solicitor

Deborah went to school locally at Ashford Girls School before completing her law degree at the University of East Anglia where she captained the law school sports teams. She undertook her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Bloomsbury and obtained a distinction. Deborah became a trainee in 2008 and is currently undertaking her seat in the Company and Commercial department.

Outside of work, Deborah is a keen skier and horse rider, she enjoys travelling and on her gap year spent 3 months in South East Asia and a month in India.
