Martin Stevens - Partner
Martin qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and became a Partner in the firm in 2000. He heads our Litigation department.
Martin’s area of speciality is Employment Law, acting for both employer or employee. He has acted in a wide range of claims in the Employment Tribunal. Recent claims have included disability discrimination, sex discrimination, age discrimination and unfair and constructive dismissal.
As well as drafting Contracts of Employment, Service Agreements and staff handbooks, Martin also provides day to day advice to employers on all aspects of Employment Law, such as disciplinary matters, redundancy procedures, termination packages, confidential information and the enforcement of restrictive covenants.
Martin is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association.
Martin also undertakes Personal Injury claims and other commercial litigation.
Outside work, Martin enjoys spending time with family, friends and playing football.

Darren Thorneycroft - Solicitor
Darren qualified in September 2006 having completed his two year training with the firm. He now forms a vital part of our Litigation team. He deals with most types of litigation – however, he specialises in Employment work, Commercial and Contractual Disputes and Property Disputes. Darren also assists our Commercial Department in planning matters. Wherever possible, Darren will undertake the Advocacy required in your case and has appeared in the County Court, Employment Tribunal and before Professional Conduct Committees in London.
Darren has a degree in Law from the University of Bristol and qualified with distinction from his LPC course at the College of Law, London.
Away from work, Darren is a keen all round sportsman and in particular plays football locally to a very good standard.

Greg Barnbrook - Trainee Solicitor
Greg Barnbrook is due to qualify as a solicitor in September 2008.
Greg joined Hallett and Co in September 2006 after completing the Legal Practice Course at the Guildford College of Law.
Greg originally studied at Southampton University and after some travelling joined Richmonds Solicitors in Bristol as a Paralegal in the Property Department. During his 3 years at Richmonds he completed his Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal practice.
In his spare time, Greg enjoys snowboarding and is a keen musician.
