Richard Rix - Partner

Richard qualified as a solicitor in 1979 and became a Partner in the Firm in 1981. He is Head of our Wills, Probate and Tax Section as well as being the Firm's Finance Partner.

He is a vastly experienced private client specialist with considerable expertise in drafting and interpreting Wills, dealing with estates of all kinds and sizes and helping elderly people manage their financial affairs. Richard and his team including Janice Barnes, Ruth Diplock, Mildred Curr and Phil Annis specialise in providing the full range of private client services.

In his spare time Richard enjoys gardening, fishing and photography.

Ruth Diplock - Solicitor

Ruth graduated from the University of Southampton and Guildford College of Law before joining the firm as a trainee in 2001. Ruth qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and became part of the firm’s Probate department. She became an Associate in January 2005.

Ruth deals with Estate work as well as preparing Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney.

Phil Annis - Clerk

Phil has been with Hallett & Co for nearly 12 years having joined us in October 1995. He deals with taxation and administration of personal affairs and estates. You can contact Phil on pca@hallettandco.co.uk

 

Marcus Self - Trainee Solicitor

Marcus did his undergraduate degree in law at the University of Warwick, before travelling in South East Asia and Australia. He went to Nottingham Law School to study for his Legal Practice course in 2005 and then worked as a Paralegal in London at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

He enjoys travelling and movies. Marcus has supported Blackburn Rovers FC for over 15 years.
