Increased Tribunal Compensation Limits from 1st February 2011

The Annual change in compensation limits takes effect from 1st February 2011.

The main points to note are:-

• 1. The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal rising from £65,300.00 to £68,400.00.
• 2. The maximum limit on a weeks pay increasing from £380.00 to £400.00.

The increase in the limit on a weeks pay impacts on the calculation of a statutory redundancy payment and basic award. The maximum amount now increases from £11,400.00 to £12,000.00.

Remember, the new rates will apply to a dismissal which takes affect after 1st February 2011
