Marcus did his undergraduate degree in law at the University of Warwick, before travelling in South East Asia and Australia. He went to Nottingham Law School to study for his Legal Practice course in 2005 and then worked as a Paralegal in London at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, before joining Hallett & Co.
Marcus trained with the firm, qualified in March 2009 and was appointed a Partner in the litigation department in November 2010. He represents clients in a range of contentious and non-contentious matters.
He has appeared as a legal representative in County Courts, the Employment Tribunal, the Court of Protection and in public inquiries. He prides himself on a pragmatic approach to dispute resolution and on a sensitivity to the commercial realities surrounding litigation.
He enjoys travelling, reading, live music and a range of sports.
